Purpose
The Public Service Excellence Award aims to recognize and honor elected public officials who demonstrate exceptional dedication to public service, community well-being, environmental stewardship, and social equity. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge and celebrate leaders whose actions have measurably improved the lives of citizens, fostered sustainable and inclusive governance, and inspired broader public confidence in representative institutions.

This award is open to currently serving or recently retired public officials at national, regional/provincial, and municipal levels, including but not limited to members of parliament, provincial legislators, and city council representatives. Eligible nominees should have demonstrated a commitment to advancing public good, environmental protection, social justice, and responsive constituent service.
Nomination Criteria
Public Service Impact: Nominees should have a proven track record of impactful public initiatives that have significantly benefited communities or constituents.
Social Equity and Inclusion: Demonstrated leadership in promoting fairness, inclusion, and opportunities for traditionally underserved or marginalized groups.
Environmental Stewardship: Elected efforts to protect the natural environment, promote sustainability, and integrate long-term ecological considerations into public policy and community planning.
Constituent Engagement: Excellence in listening to, responding to, and representing the needs of diverse community members with integrity and transparency.
Collaborative Leadership: Effective collaboration with other government levels, community organizations, and stakeholders to achieve meaningful public outcomes.
