Julio Manuel Pereyra Sanchez - Mobile Chalk School (Argentina)
In the vast expanse of the educational world, Julio Manuel Pereyra Sánchez shines like a dazzling star, illuminating the long and arduous path toward inclusive education. His outstanding achievements have earned him the Global Fred Award – Exceptional Visionary Founder, a tribute not only to his personal excellence but also to his unwavering dedication to educational inclusion.

Growing up in Uruguay, Julio witnessed firsthand the unequal distribution of educational resources and the heartbreaking struggles faced by children with special needs. These experiences left a deep mark on his childhood, planting the seed of a lifelong dream: to champion educational equity and inclusion for all.

Determined to fulfill this dream, Julio embarked on a relentless pursuit of knowledge. He earned multiple degrees and professional certifications, building a strong academic foundation that empowered him to drive real change. Each qualification added fuel to his mission, strengthening his resolve to transform the educational landscape.

Turning his attention to marginalized communities in northeastern Argentina, Julio saw towns like Las Palmas, Palomar, and Catamarca—places where education was virtually absent. In response, he created the groundbreaking Mobile Chalk School, a traveling school that carried hope and knowledge directly to forgotten children, bridging the gap between isolation and opportunity.

Starting the project was no easy task. Funding was scarce, resources were limited, and there were few qualified teachers. Yet Julio refused to be defeated. With extraordinary vision and determination, he reached out to organizations, businesses, and individuals, passionately sharing his mission. His sincerity inspired support, enabling the Mobile Chalk School to finally set sail against all odds.

Julio’s commitment to quality education led him to expand the school's offerings beyond basic literacy. He introduced arts, sports, and creative activities, nurturing students' talents and encouraging them to dream bigger. He also brought in education experts and volunteers, leveraging his wide network and professional expertise to ensure the Mobile Chalk School grew stronger and more impactful.

The results were transformative. Children once written off as hopeless flourished under Julio’s guidance, not only achieving academic success but also developing confidence and a renewed belief in their future. Their growth became living proof of the Mobile Chalk School’s success—and fueled Julio’s drive to expand his vision even further.

Beyond the Mobile Chalk School, Julio played vital roles in international initiatives like the Sister Schools Program between the U.S. and Argentina, promoting inclusive education across borders. As a teacher trainer, school director, and consultant for judicial and educational institutions, he infused inclusive values into every project he touched. Winning the Global Fred Award is not just a recognition of his achievements—it's a call for all of us to continue building a more equitable and inclusive educational world, inspired by Julio's unstoppable spirit.
